Our Workshop

About THE Workshop

The Loft is utilized through a digital tour and workshop format, in which participants have the opportunity to experience each of the Loft’s components in a curated setting.

The Loft’s content can be organized and personalized for each team or individual participant depending on their needs and objectives. Our workshop tools complement the material as a way to record insights and brainstorm opportunities for intervention and positive change.

We’ve provided matrices and pairing suggestions to get you started, and are always here to answer questions and help you brainstorm use cases.

About the Tools

To better facilitate your experience, the Live Well team developed a set of workshop tools that can be used during your visit.

Each tool serves a different purpose in order to help you achieve your goals and objectives, and provides tangible next steps and a “call to action” for you to take with you and share within your team or organization.

Defining a Goal

In order to get the most out of your Loft experience, we recommend defining a clear goal before utilizing our workshop tools. This goal can vary from being very broad to a specific deliverable. By preparing yourself or your team with an intention, you can curate your Loft experience to best fit your needs.

Companies have used the Loft in a multitude of ways. Some companies have outlined a specific goal at the beginning of the term and have held multiple consecutive sessions to work towards creating solutions to this defined opportunity. Other companies have brought in a variety of teams across their respective channels to brainstorm different ideas and scenarios within the space.

UC Marketing Class
A class of students from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Business aimed to create a unique opportunity for the Live Well and the students involved to combine design thinking with their marketing expertise and class work.

P&G
P&G has been very inventive in their use of the Loft over the past few years. One example that was particularly noteworthy was their use of the Loft for a two-day corporate retreat. By utilizing the Loft, they were able to apply empathic, human-centered insights, as well as trend forecasting, to find the right language, angles, and influencers in order to persuade their consumers and entice their buying habits.

Choosing Content

ARCHETYPES
Our archetypes represent different demographics, wants, needs, and perspectives on health. You can choose an archetype who closely aligns to your goals, or explore an archetype that pushes you to think outside of the box.

FUTURES
Discover shifts and innovations that are occurring in technology, values that are most important to your audience, and a range of demographics that will impact the future of the health landscape.

View Futures

Even if you have a defined target audience, some of our most successful sessions have been with teams who select an archetype completely outside of their target. It helps to expand your thinking and push the boundaries of your work.

Partners

If you’re a partner, we recommend choosing one archetype and one trend pairing that best relate to your objective. You can then use the Empathy Mapping tool to develop empathy for your archetype or target audience, and Scenario Planning to forecast future scenarios.

Want to try something different? Swap out the Scenario Planning tool for Organization Intervention to create possible intervention opportunities and ideas for innovation.

Students

If you’re a student, we recommend doing a deep dive into all of the archetypes and trends to gain a breadth of knowledge about different consumer populations and future shifts. You can then use the Scavenger Hunt tool to understand why archetypes are so important, and Scenario Planning to forecast future scenarios.

Want to try something different? Swap out the Scavenger Hunt tool for Empathy Mapping to establish empathy for your archetypes.

Looking for the most basic workshop tools to utilize the Loft? We recommend using Empathy Mapping to understand the Archetypes, Scenario Planning to connect the Archetypes to the Future Shifts, and Journey Mapping to generate opportunities from the insights you’ve derived through your Loft experience.
